Arnaldo Carlos is the new General Commander of the National Police

The President of the Republic, His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, today appointed Arnaldo Manuel Carlos as the new General Commander of the National Police, replacing Paulo Gaspar de Almeida.

The President of the Republic, H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, under the terms of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola and after hearing the National Security Council, issued the following decrees:

The following National Police Commissioner Officers are exonerated:

General Commissioner Paulo Gaspar de Almeida, from the position of General Commander of the National Police and Chief Commissioner Arnaldo Manuel Carlos, from the position of General Director of the Criminal Investigation Service.

The President of the Republic decided, by decree, that Chief Commissioner Arnaldo Manuel Carlos be promoted to the post of Commissioner-General.

The President of the Republic appoints the General Commissioner Arnaldo Manuel Carlos to the position of General Commander of the National Police.

The Criminal Investigation Commissioner António Paulo Bendje, from the position of Deputy Director General of the Criminal Investigation Service, is exonerated; and Criminal Investigation Commissioner Pedro Lufunfula, in the position of Director for Combating Organized Crime at the Criminal Investigation Service.

The President of the Republic, by decree, promotes the Criminal Investigation Commissioner António Paulo Bendje to the Police post of Chief Criminal Investigation Commissioner.

Chief Criminal Investigation Commissioner António Paulo Bendje is thereby appointed to the position of Director General of the Criminal Investigation Service.

Criminal Investigation Commissioner Pedro Lufunfula, for the post of Deputy Director General of the Criminal Investigation Service.
